After hundreds of man-hours of dedication, I am excited to present a rare and meticulously curated collection of more than 170 ads designed by Franco Grignani for Alfieri & Lacroix, spanning the years from 1952 through the 1970s.
These visually stunning pieces not only redefined modern advertising but also earned acclaim in graphic design magazines worldwide. Many of them have been exhibited in the USA in the 1960s.
Digitally enhanced from original magazines or rare printing proofs, these ads capture Grignani’s avant-garde vision, pushing the boundaries of visual communication in ways that remain timeless.
“I remember the last time I saw Grignani. I asked him why no one had thought of publishing the complete series of his work for Alfieri & Lacroix, and he seemed surprised that I considered that specific work a fundamental achievement of graphic design in three crucial decades. Years that had closed an era.”
